Nice hotel - fun to try. Please be aware that it is a no show hotel - you will need to put them in the lobby. Good location.

We absolutely loved our stay - staying in a traditional Japanese hotel, with an onsen, was a wonderful experience for our family of 4 (including 2 teenagers). The location could not have been better, with our room overlooking the Atomic Dome and a quick walk to the Peace Memorial Park. All of the staff were kind, helpful, gracious and patient. Highly recommend!

Excellent location. Close to Hiroshima Peace Park, street cars, shopping, restaurants and a 7 Eleven. Included Japanese breakfast was an experience not to be missed, as long as you like fish. The hotel is a ryokan so it is a more traditional Japanese experience. We are glad we included this in our Japan trip. We slept like samurai.

My family and I loved our stay at Hiroshima no Yado Aioi. It’s a traditional ryokan/inn, with an onsen and delicious Japanese breakfast. The staff was so friendly and helpful and the location can’t be beat - across from the Memorial Peace Park and a ferry to Miyajima.

Great place to stay if you want to experience a more traditional Japanese hotel. You can’t beat the location as the Atomic Bomb Dome is right outside the door, and the ferry to Miyajima is only about 3 minutes walk away. The staff are lovely too!

We really enjoyed our stay at Hiroshimanoyado Aioi. The traditional room was spacious, and the comfortable futons made for a restful night's sleep. The serene atmosphere and authentic Japanese experience made it one of our favorite places during our travels all around Japan. Highly recommend! Location is also spot on!

Wonderful stay, extremely convenient location. The room was very large for a hotel in Japan. The breakfast and service was exemplary. The peace dome is directly across the street, which makes access to the most popular tourist sites very convenient. There’s even a ferry to miyajima from the base of Motoyasu bridge, which is a 2 minute walk from the hotel.

Front desk staff were super. Polite, speaks some English and very approachable. Futon in the room a bit too thin but thanfully, there were spares in the closet which i was able to pull out and stack them for a more comfortable sleep. Location was outstanding but not mych views from the room.

We absolutely loved Hiroshimanoyado Aioi. It was one of our favourite stays of our holiday in Japan. The traditional features of the hotel added to the cultural experience of our holiday. The hotel staff were the friendliest and most helpful of all the hotels we stayed in. The ambience of the hotel and the staff were entirely charming. The location right next to the Peace Gardens was beautiful, tranquil and convenient. We would not hesitate to book this hotel next time we visit Japan.

Excellent location. Arrived in the evening and was greeted by the staff. Extremely friendly even had our names on a sign, felt like family. Room was beautiful. Was giving a hand painting post card of the Genbaku dome. All in all 10 Stars out of 10. Thank you for the wonderful memories. I will visit Hiroshima again and definitely stay at Hiroshima-no-yado Aioi.

This hotel is incredibly close to one of the most iconic structures of World War II, directly across from the “atomic dome“ which is one of the few buildings left from the atomic bombing of Hiroshima. The hypocenter, where the weapon exploded, is just behind the hotel, which tells you the amazing recovery. The people of Hiroshima have made. The breakfast is uniquely Japanese and everything about this hotel is structured around old Japanese style and traditions, which is well worth the time and visit!

This was my first time staying in a ryokan and it was a lovely experience. The staff were super helpful and welcoming. The breakfasts were fantastic. The hotel is conveniently located across from the Peace Memorial and walking distance to the tram and other sights. The only thing I would change/request in future is a different pair of slippers (too big and flimsy for small feet). I wish I could’ve stayed longer. Thank you for a very relaxing stay.

Great location. We were pleasantly surprised. Across the street from the dome . From Hiroshima station take the #2 bus to the dome. The Inn was clean. Just a small note, you must make your own bed at night not a big issue. The staff is very friendly and nice. Next door to some wonderful okonomiyaki.

8/10 Very good

The location of this hotel was fantastic! Right across from the Atomic Bomb Dome and just a short walk to the Peace Memorial Museum. We were easily able to catch a streetcar from the main train station to this hotel and took a river boat 5 minutes from our accomodation to Miyajima Island, which was our next destination. The hotel itself was quiet, clean and seemed to be well-run. We experienced our first Japanese onsen which was lovely. We wanted to try a ryokan and so booked this one on the recommendation from a Japan travel blog. The room was large and had a lovely traditional table with tea, sweets, etc., which was quite nice. We were given traditional robes and sleepwear which was a great touch. We slept on traditional sleeping futons which was a fun experience, however the one thing I didn't like was how we had to set up the beds ourselves. Maybe that's part of the experience/tradition (I'm not sure) but it was a bit cumbersome with the heavy mattresses and we had to figure out how to situate them so we could all fit. It was a bit cramped with 5 people and my husband ended up sleeping in the closet lol. It all worked out as he snores but had we all wanted to be in the same room it would have been tight. A minor detail but thought I would mention it. All in all, the hotel was lovely and quite peaceful. It was a fun experience and I would recommend!
