Clean room although tired. Bed feet were ragged with some sharp wooden edges. Staff were overall friendly in bar and restaurant at breakfast. As were maintenance staff in grounds. Breakfast was good with a nice hot and cold selection. Parking fine and no issues in finding space. Apple trees are a risk to park near due to falling fruit. Thank you for looking after us.

We love this place but it is getting tired. The maintenance is in need of an uplift and the rooms and lounge areas need a refit. Still a lovely stay and Sindhu was excellent for lunch. The reception staff for the hotel were OK but lacked motivation to welcome their guests with any enthusiasm. Breakfast was excellent and the setting for the hotel sets this apart from most.

Offered upgrade to suite with either river or weir views and ended up near the bridge overlooking the entrance. That said the suite was lovely although 2 of the TV's werent working, a cupboard door was broken and there was insufficient toilet roll. tea/coffee selection was poor and what there was, was insufficient. If iy wasnt for the location which is amazing and the local town, the hotel would score badly.

Firstly, I should say that the garden of the Hotel is one of the most relaxing places I've been to in England to just sit and enjoy a nice glass of wine by the riverside, watching the world go by (or at least the boats). The hotel, however, needs a fair bit of work to bring it up to scratch to justify the £350 a night for a small, basic double room. The public areas are ok, and the food is definitely not too bad, but it just feels like the place needs a bit of a makeover. I was last there about 15 years ago, and pretty sure it looked exactly the same inside. The room was clean, but a few annoying things. The bath panel was hanging off (unacceptable really) and the shower pressure was weak, plus the constant changes in temperature suggests they need to sort out their continuous supply to individual rooms. It actually reminded me a little bit like a B&B. That said, the staff were really nice and friendly, and the concierge was a wonderfully nice chap, so only big ticks for their employees. Clearly the location puts a premium on the prices, but did feel a little ripped off for accommodation so 'average'. Sorry !

We stayed for one night for a Friend’s wedding in Marlow it isn’t the first time I have been to the Complete Angler but it has been a few years and to say I was disappointed is an understatement. Initially all was good reception staff were friendly and our room was even ready early which was great as it meant we had somewhere to get changed for the wedding. After that it was downhill. The room was hot so I tried to open one of the windows and the secondary glazing almost fell out of the frame! The other window did open but there was gaps around most of the window pans as the window was rotten overall not very safe. We did have a lovely view of the river and weir which was nice. In the bathroom there were serval damp patches on the ceiling, the cold tap was trickling not able to turn off properly, the shelf behind the sink was coming away from the wall and had been gunked up with silicone. The bed was comfortable and clean thankfully. And the hair dryer didn’t work so I had to go to breakfast with wet hair by this point I could t be bothered to ask for a new one! Breakfast was thankfully included though we did have to pay for parking when we arrived as we hadn’t booked directly with the hotel, this seemed unfair as we were paying hotel guests however we had initially booked so be aware of this. Back to breakfast it was awful poor selection of buffet, waited 45mins for hot and it was so terrible and Luke warm we left it. Overall I wouldn’t stay here again ever.
