Had a really good stay at the Lodge! Really cute hotel at a historical part of Malta. The room was clean and well kept. We had a room with a private external bathroom which no one else could use and it turned out to be absolutely fine. Breakfast was really good. The area is beautiful with a few good restaurants nearby. Access is quite easy with Bolt /Uber. The owner was very helpful to allow us to check out late as the room wasn't booked the next day, which was a massive help after a day at the beach before flying off! Definitely recommend it!

We enjoyed our stay at The Lodge a lot! The staff were very helpful - both with our luggage and with any inquiries we might have had - and the place was so beautiful! It's located in a quite and cozy area, but not far at all from restaurants and bars :) The ferry to Valetta takes 15 minutes and is just on the other side of the street as well. The check-in was easy and the hotel helped us book a driver from the airport to the hotel. I would highly recommend this place to anybody looking for a cozy and historical place to stay in one of the Three Cities

This hotel was very Maltanese. It was down a long walkway with many stairs, such an authentic experience staying here. There is closer access to the street, which i discovered after check-in, so I used that option for hotel access. Breakfast was included in the stay, as long as you filled out your form and placed it in the bin the night before. Each room was named, and had their own style. The room was a great size, I chose one with a private bathroom, they do have rooms without private bathrooms that are less expensive. The only thing that I can critique is the shower. The water pressure was amazing, it was a great shower, however because of how the bathroom is designed, the water from the shower soaks the space. An easy fix for this would be to simply add a shower curtain. That was my only issue. Other than that, the place is beautiful!

Great location, easy access to Valletta via a cheap foot passenger ferry which runs every 30 minutes across the Harbour. Really attractive property. Fantastically run. Perfect. Comfortable bed.

Very cool property, with a local flair, clean and well maintained. There's a number of steps from the street level to the entrance of the building, and then more to the rooms (no elevators, of course). Nice decorations all-over, with attention to detail, traditional-looking, very clean and appealing. Be mindful when you book, as the meaning of "detached private bathroom" does not disclose that the bathroom is down the hallway. I assume the rooms listed under "private bathroom" have a layout that includes it. Should have checked before making a reservation! Good, clear communication via email/whatsapp prior to check-in, as there is no reception on premise. Attentive and helpful staff, excellent location - you can be close to tourist attractions, restaurants, the ferry, the water promenade, etc. - but safe and quiet at the same time. I would definitely book again, just a different room.

History coming alive

Incredible hotel with great architecture and location. The staff and the owner are extremely welcoming making sure you're living in your own home rather than a matchbox. The eye to detail for the interior alongwith the location of being just ferry side just makes sure youve comfort while still experiencing the character of the house. The 2 things that gave us a problem was the noise and the amount of stairs which they cant do a lot about because the hotel is trying to be a modern 16th century building. Had to get ear plugs as suggested by their own staff after which the night became a lot more comfortable.

An absolutely stunning old building in such a perfect area for our first visit to Malta. We stayed in Jean as it was our anniversary celebration and loved having the bathtub in the room to relax in after long days walking up and down the steps in the city. The hotel was a true gem of a find and the area itself was so much nicer to stay in than Valetta in our opinion.
