The hotel is on La Rambla. Good location. But other people’s reviews are correct. La Rambla is undergoing renovations so you can hear the noise during the day. Also the metro line is close so sensitive people can hear the rumbling when a train passes. Staffs were helpful and services were great. We didn’t include breakfast since there are so many choices around. The famous Boqueria market is 3 min walk. Don’t try the hotel restaurant (for lunch or dinner) unless you’re out of options. The only thing I had an issue with was the A/C. Barcelona is next to the sea and humidity is high. The hotel’s central A/C system is a bit “simple” in terms of keeping the room dry and not too cold. I am talking about the old thermostat from last generation which has no digital temp or any smart settings. Our bed always felt damp and cold. Overall, we enjoyed the stay in this hotel. You can’t beat the location if you only plan to stay a few days to a week.

I always know what to expect at a Marriott property. Le meridian did not disappoint. Ricardo provided excellent Tapas suggestion and booked last minute Flamenco and dinner for us.
