Good location and customer service! There’s no wifi in the room, but the connection is okay in the lobby. Staff were super nice! Rooms were clean and simple.

The check in time is a very reduced window laps and the check out is at 10 am - earliest check out I have ever seen in a hotel. Breakfast is just one hour from 7.30 to 8.30. Nobody informed us. We tried to get something to eat at 8.55 but everything was finished.
Our room was fine but the window doesn’t open so you feel a little trapped.
Wouldn’t stay again.

Maria and her husband manage a BEAUTIFUL property. It’s only a 10 minute walk to the Malecon, there are pharmacies and markets all around, and breakfast is wonderful everyday. The room itself was VERY comfortable. One thing to note is that they do have Wi-Fi, but being that they’re on an island, it’s not always very reliable- but that’s anywhere you go on San Cristobal so remember you’re here to relax and explore, not work! I’ll definitely be booking here again when I come back!

Great stay
Maria went above and beyond during our stay to accommodate us, and even gave us a room to stay for a few hours, after we had checked out already, for us to rest a bit before heading to the airport.

I stayed in this hotel from Feb 24-26, tried to pay for the reservation on my visa on the 24th but they said it didn’t go through, so I paid in cash instead. However I looked at my credit card transactions and noticed the payment went through and I was charged on the 28th by the hotel. I’ve been messaging them the last few days and got no response. Very disappointed. Be aware if you are paying with credit card at this hotel!

Came back from breakfast on the last day to find the staff removing our bags from the room. One of my bags consisted of $25,000 of camera equipment which I found disgusting, as they can’t afford to replace it. Front desk manager refused to provide contact info for owner of property as requested. Will be charging back full cost of stay through the bank for not as described. If property wants to keep payment, the owner must contact me.

First of all, the NAME of the hotel is NOT Cactus & Cactus! The taxi driver was perplexed when I told him the name and took us to a hotel that doesn't have any signage, later to find out that it's called Los Cactus or known as Cactus. No one was at the desk when we arrived, and we had sent a message several weeks prior with our arrival time. After waiting about 45 minutes, a young lady arrived and checked us in. She was cordial and helpful with info about the island.
The largest bed the hotel offers is a double, and I had requested 2 twins so I could combine to make a king, but that request was not honored. The room was clean, but sparse with furniture, no place to open our suitcase or to store clothing. There was one night stand, one tiny table with 2 chairs, a full size bed, and a tiny refrigerator on the floor. We stayed 4 nights and barely slept due to the neighboring rooster who was nonstop crowing as early as 4am. I even used ear plugs, but the noise from staff talking and singing right outside our door was intolerable. The bathroom provided the necessities, such as hot water, bar soap, 2 hand towels, 2 bath towels, and shampoo. Bring your own hair conditioner and wash cloths, those are not provided. Air conditioning was good! Breakfast was decent, they have instant coffee, bread/toast, freshly made juice, and eggs cooked to order. Not a large breakfast, but enough to start the day off. I wouldn't stay here again mainly because of the NOISE and small bed.

The property was very quaint, and overall, fairly comfortable. The staff was very helpful with all needs and went out of their way to make sure all of our needs were met. Do to our schedule, we did not get an opportunity to check out the breakfast, which was included. My primary issue was the noise level, as much of the outside noise (to include the next door neighbor’s constantly crowing rooster) could still be heard inside. But, ultimately, it is a good place for the price and is recommended.
I booked this hotel because it looked clean and nice. The lobby and hallway are in fact clean and nice. Check in was easy. The rooms are ok, the bathroom has a screened area with holes so we had a problem with bugs at night. The back garden area looks like an unfinished construction zone with broken toilets laying about. We never experienced the breakfast because it started at 7:30 and most excursions go out at 7:30. The neighborhood is not very welcoming and it's a 10-15 minute walk to the water front. I didn't expect luxury for the price and after reading the reviews but after 6pm there is no one at the front desk and the front door is open all night so it did not feel safe to me. We stayed at another hotel in the area that also didn't staff the front desk at night but they gave us keys to access the outside door.
Die Rezeption war für Fragen kaum besetzt, kann auch gut sein das es daran lag des wir zu diesem Zeitpunkt die einzigen Gäste waren, sonst Hotel ist super schön, modern und gemütlich und schön eingerichtet
