The property is old. It looks semi-abandoned on the outside, but inside it looks better, having been partially renovated. Even then, evidence of its age shows. However, it was clean and comfortable enough to get sleep, and the breakfast was excellent, so don’t judge a book by its cover, I guess?

We got a non smoking that smelled like smoke. I had to sign paperwork saying I wouldn't smoke and yet it reaked like smoke. Not sure if you weren't prepared or didn't care but the breakfast was cold and awful. For what I paid It would have been nice to have warm breakfast. Im sure the senior trip was known about yet because of it there was no food for the other guests. I have stayed with this chain over the year since I was a kid and they have drastically gone down in quality and up in $$. Despite all of that Max is who checked us in and was GREAT. Thank you Max for being friendly and professional!

Pictures on website were very Deceiving! Hotel was nothing like the pictures! Definitely was not clean! The breakfast was HORRIBLE! Nothing to choose from 1/2 hr 45 mins after it started serving! Refrigerator in room did not keep anything cold! Feel like I totally wasted my money! Will not recommend any one / nor will I be staying there again!

This hotel cannot be beat for it’s convenience to Busch Gardens Williamsburg, and is the #1 reason why it was chosen for our stay. We loved the extremely comfortable beds and the incredibly soft and absorbent bath towels. That being said, the property is in need of some serious updating. Initial impression of the rooms (we had 3) were quickly squashed with the dirty vinyl floors, ‘gallons’ of caulk used around the tub edges and where it met the floor, and the year(s) of frost build-up in the room’s mini-fridge’s freezer. Breakfast buffet items were nearly bare bones. Of our 3 rooms: two were missing hair dryers, all had an ironing board but no iron, one had a rack to hang clothes – but no hangers, one had a toilet that allowed one flush, but the water tank would not re-fill. The single bar of soap offered was the size of 2 postage stamps, barely enough for one bath/shower. Chip in the tub by the train was patched – but the patch peeled off. While it was not measured, the gap below the room door and the floor was so large, we had to stuff towels in there to completely darken the room from the corridor lighting. The television in 1 room would not turn on (the ‘power’ light come on, but not the tv) and the remote for the tv was all taped up with electrical tape to keep the batteries from falling out. Photos are included with this review.

The stay wasn't as good as we thought it was going to be. Coming in it looks alright. Certain parts of the hotel look like it's still under construction, like the pool. which is fine. Things didn't start to bother me until we got to the room; Towels were ALL stained. all of them. even the replacement towels. Comforter....stained. There was a smushed ladybug in between the comforters and other bedding. Floor was really dirty. and the free breakfast....a lot of the options looked days old, very little options, and overall just not good. Mind you, we were upgraded to a "newly renovated" room (even before we saw the room we initially booked) so it was all very shocking and frustrating when we walked in to said room. then the customer service was 50/50. The wait for someone to be at the front desk was almost 20 min. But i will say that once they did get there, they were very nice.
