We only had a single day stop over but the Hotel staff, premesis and rooms were absolutly amazing. We are hoping to return again next year with a little more time! 10/10 would stay again. Absolutely beautiful!

Loved it here! This traditional ryokan is clean, comfortable, quiet, and the most spacious place I stayed in Japan. Staff were very friendly and helpful, and gave me an overview of everything I needed to know about Kinosaki for a first-time stay. Located right beside the Mandara onsen, it’s a bit of a walk from the train station (but the town is very small, so not an issue). The ryokan several private baths as well, which were lovely. Provides free toiletries for the onsens, and allows free usage of yukatas/baskets/shoes as well. Very cute and traditional, it really is charming. Please note that despite what the booking site here says, the restaurant is closed. They still provide free (large and delicious) breakfast, and there are enough restaurants in-town that this isn’t an issue.
