Misleading star rating

Check in was wonderful, the front desk attendant was very friendly and helpful. In the room, you could tell that some attempts had been made towards cleanliness and comfort (ie, clean sheets and nicely arranged clean towels). Those are the only positive things about our stay, however, as it was the proverbial lipstick on a pig. The room was so dark and dank - I was concerned about breathing the air all night. The unbearable hum from all of the equipment trying to dry out and cool the room was enough to drive you nuts. When we got back from the boardwalk that evening, the cutest trio of young raccoons was trying to get in the kitchenette window that overlooked the alley between this and the next building. If we were planning on staying more than one night I would have found another place to go.

I have stayed here many times only for a night while visiting the shore. If you're looking for a place to shower/sleep at the end of your day at the beach, then this is a great place for the price if you plan on spending time inside the hotel rooms then look elsewhere. It's conveniently located close to the beach and boardwalk.
