This hotel was gorgeous and comfortable. Very clean and nice location that you can drive right up to with great parking. The free breakfast was decent. Issue with the fire alarm going off in the middle of the night while we were there, but pretty sure that was a one-off issue.

Wonderful stay, beautiful location. Very friendly and helpful staff. The room was nice and spacious. The only thing that was missing was a kettle and complementary coffee or tea. Overall we had an amazing experience and we recommend the Estalajem de Monsaraz .

We had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. The receptionist (Anna) was very helpful and knowledgeable giving us some great tips and benefit of her local knowledge. Our room was very comfortable and clean, the swimming pool area was lovely with fantastic views. Free on street parking is available outside the hotel. From the hotel you can walk into town, but be aware if you are walking impaired or need a wheelchair then there are some rough cobbled streets and some steep inclines into the town of Monsaraz which could be challenging. The breakfast at the hotel was also very nice. We will be returning to this hotel.

Such an amazing place with lovely staff. It’s like stepping back in time. If you’re looking for pure luxury then maybe it’s not ideal but if you want a lovely genuinely beautiful place with a slow pace of life and the most amazing scenery, this is it. We missed the restaurant sadly but there are plenty to choose from, even though the place is really quite small. The shops are superb with local goods. Just amazing. Thank you!

We had the most amazing weekend at this establishment. The breakfast was good, the room was lovely. The only complaint is that the shower curtain should be replaced by glass. The gardens were beautiful. The evenings were spent watching the skies for a star show. Will definitely be back.

I hate to downrate businesses, but am afraid that I need to with this hotel. Monsaraz is a pretty little town and a very pleasant place to spend a relaxing day or two. Estalagem de Monsaraz nearly works, but the details made it the least pleasant hotel of our two weeks in Portugal. Upon arrive it was clear that the reception person was ill. She was doing her best, but clearly she didn't feel well. We got our key and went to the room. It was a (slightly) higher price room as it had a view. Nothing really wrong with the room other than it was in a very old building and was physically a bit difficult with a tiny bathroom that had stairs both down and up to it. The real problem was that it STUNK.....clearly a bad sewer problem that had been addressed in the past by putting a fan in the bathroom that was always on. It didn't work. No matter how nice a place is....the stench of sewage takes the pleasure out of it. It was okay as far as cleanliness, the public rooms are small but pretty. The breakfast was okay.

A Estalagem fica muito bem situada e próxima a cidade murada. O serviço e simples, mas para uma noite e razoável. Eu fiquei num quarto que o acesso por escadas de pedra, vários níveis, e ao chegar a noite, por volta da 23h, as luzes da escada estavam apagadas. Tive que acender a luz do meu celular para conseguir descer. Eles alegam que a piscina e sazonal e por isso não estava em condições.

Não gostei dos quartos. Desconfortaveis. O piso de pedra não ajuda. O Hotel também não parece muito confortavel. Só o atendimento que é excelente a sra Carolina é hiper prestativa e muito simpática. Foi o ponto alto da estadia. A internet na chegada não funcionava, mas depois operou bem.

Fiquei apenas uma noite nesta hospedagem e achei ótima. Ambiente limpo, quarto confortável e silencioso. A Carla foi quem nos recebeu, muito atenciosa e simpática. O café da manhã é simples, mas com boas opções e muito gostoso. Tem algumas vagas de estacionamento bem na frente da hospedagem. A localização é ótima, bem próximo ao Castelo, é possível passear a pé. Recomendo e retornaria com certeza.
