Apricot Orchard

Absolutely beautiful cabin set in the middle of an apricot orchard with wood burning stoves in each room and heaters in the beds. The service was fantastic and the food was great. We're going back.

We stayed one night at Stok Palace, and really enjoyed the whole experience. Their Willow restaurant in the nearby orchard was lovely, we had a beautiful walk up to the Buddha through the town, the traditional dinner in the royal kitchen was delicious and interesting and Rinchen was a wonderful host. And it's hard to beat the palace ramparts as a location for tea or breakfast, with an incredible view over the valley and mountains. We also loved the design of our room, with so much pattern and colour, and would definitely recommend morning prayers with the monk-in-residence. We've never stayed anywhere like it.
