This hotel is super nice- the center with all of the trees that opens up to the sky is so cool. Room was spacious and clean and I liked the big bathroom.
A few things I disliked: first is the location, it's a bit removed from the main downtown part of Tulum, so it takes 10-15 min to get a taxi called there, and the roads are horrible (bumpy dirt road with tons of holes in it). Second, not sure if this is truly a hotel or a "condo" but there was no housekeeping service any of the days I stayed, i.e. bed not made, trash wasn't taken out, toilet paper not replaced, etc. Lastly, one night there was a ton of people either above or next to me having a party. I didn't want to be that person to call the front desk to tell them to be quiet, but it was VERY loud and I was trying to sleep. There is NO phone in the room to contact front desk, and it was almost midnight so I wasn't getting out of bed. I called hotels.com for them to try to connect me but they did not have a direct # to the front desk, just some customer service answering machine. I could "leave a message" - sorry I did not want my problem solved the next day. Major fail, very annoying.
The rooftop pool is a big draw- very cool circular infinity pool, however it was not filled all the way when I was there so it was a bit disappointing (they were repairing some tiles).
Overall the hotel is nice, but I'm not sure I'd stay again.
