A beautiful and quaint hotel, right on the river. Sit on your balcony sipping wine while watching boats go by in the river while birds sing all around. Staff were great, beds were very comfy, rooms were small as is typical for this area. Would stay again in a heartbeat.

6/10 Good

I wouldn't consider this a non-smoking hotel if you want or need to open the patio door/window. All the balconies have ashtrays and there were several people smoking on the balconies. And there's no AC, so if you need air, your options are limited. Also, the bathroom was very cramped - I've been in better bathrooms on cruise ships. The location is very convenient to the river and tourist area. The breakfast was really nice with many options, and the staff were super nice. We had to find street parking because the few spots at the hotel were already full. Overall, I wouldn't stay at this hotel again. The view and breakfast couldn't outweigh the rest of it.

River front hotel near the Altstadt. Perfect location. Restaurants all along the river. The Seilbahn going up to the Fort is a few meters from the hotel. We stay here repeatedly, because of its beautiful location. Make sure you request a river view room. The hotel staff was very accommodating when it came to parking and our needs. The parking is very limited, but there is a nearby parking garage. Overall - book it!
