We took both properties for 2 couples which worked very well with the kitchen in the middle. We appreciated the extra touches; cake and strawberries and various breakfast items we had not expected. The host was very friendly and made check in really easy, even starting the fire in the stove for us. The room was very nicely done up, cozy and comfy, with plenty of warmth from the fire. The kitchen area was compact but well supplied and clean. We really enjoyed our stay and would be happy to stay there again should we be in the area.

Fran was incredibly understanding when our check in time kept getting pushed back due to raod delays, and she was so welcoming and helpful on our arrival - explaining all aspects of the room and offering local recommendations for our stay. The Snug was a gorgeous room and it was a pleasure to stay at The Old Stables.

The Snug is just lovely, warm and cosy with a log fire in the bedroom / sitting room. Spacious and spotlessly clean. The kitchen is well equipped, has everything you need for a self catering break, just wish our stay had been longer, could happily have stayed a week. Fran was lovely; welcoming, friendly and helpful, thanks so much, we would love to visit again sometime.

Friendly welcome, warm comfortable accommodation, and perfectly situated, in High Leicestershire, for our needs. We stayed 2 nights and ate in the Stag & Hounds both nights, a mere 50m away, where the locals and staff were very friendly and the food delicious. We had a small issue with the hot water which our host solved quickly and efficiently. This is a characterful conversion of some old outbuildings, hence the `eco' rating, with plenty of space and good parking.
