This is a B&B with your own private bedroom & bath of a quite elegant 4-bedroom 3rd floor apartment in central Viterbo. The building is very secure with lots of marble, heavy oak doors and a "European" elevator. The bedroom is comfortable and spacious but limited clothes storage (a few clothes hangers would help). The bathroom is bright & clean with a European-style shower that is a challenge for large Americans. Our room overlooked a busy city street but good quality windows blocked that noise completely. The room had a coffee maker, but is not really suitable for eating in (there is no table). Instead, there is a shared breakfast room with tables, and a spacious terrace overlooking a busy piazza. The host, Alessandro, is at breakfast every morning, and is very attentive and helpful. Central Viterbo is completely walkable from the apartment - you don't need a car (I'm in my 80s). There's good train service from Rome, and a 10-minute walk to the apartment (if you need a taxi for your bags then try to arrange that ahead of time - don't rely on Uber). We arrived by car, and unloaded the bags right outside the apartment without getting arrested. Parking the car is a different matter. There is free public parking close by but, if you find a fee space, you will need to tell the Pope. There is paid public parking with space 7 minutes walk away. Alex can also arrange private paid parking within 3 minutes walk, but you should have him guide you to that the first time.
