The Reef 28 Hotel & Spa - Luxury Adults Only - All Suites
10/10 Excellent
"The staff was friendly. The lobby bartenders were great. The rooms were spacious and clean. The gym was decent size, and appropriate for the number of rooms. The hotel was in a great location! You could walk to the beach or to 5th avenue where many of the restaurants are. You could also walk to the ferry terminal to go to Cozumel. For the price paid, the property had great value and we would definitely visit again. The property isn't all inclusive for everyone and you have to opt in to a certain package. There are different packages and depending on which one you pick you'll get a different wristband. What we were entitled to based on our package was hard to remember, but we eventually figured it out. Since the all inclusive was not standard, there are checks that are delivered at the end of each meal (not including the breakfast buffet) that you have to sign and you can't just walk away. We found that to be annoying at times when we wanted to head out and couldn't find anyone to help. "

"The property is huge and overwhelming at times however the selection in food options and access to parks makes it a great option if your family likes action and adventure"
Paradisus Playa del Carmen – Riviera Maya - All Inclusive
10/10 Excellent
"We stayed at Paradisus Playa del Carmen and had an excellent experience overall. The resort truly deserves five stars. Our room was spotless, and housekeeping was outstanding. Every day while we were out, the staff cleaned the room, refreshed the bed sheets, and made it feel like the first day again. The pool area was very clean, well organized, and never felt crowded. Poolside service was attentive, and the drinks were high quality. The pool buffet and lunch options were delicious, with great variety and fresh ingredients. Chefs and staff clearly cared about food quality and presentation.
The main buffet was open from morning until late evening and offered a wide selection. In addition, there were several specialty restaurants with very good food, and reservations were generally manageable. The beach area was clean and relaxing, with towels, a beach bar, and activities like kayaking included. Entertainment and shows were enjoyable and added to the overall experience.
A few small cons: shows were held in different locations each night, so following the schedule was sometimes confusing. Also, some restaurants closed briefly between meal times, and the main pool and pool bar closed around 6 PM, which felt early. Bars in family areas also closed around 10–10:30 PM.
Overall, these were minor issues in an otherwise fantastic stay. We would happily return and highly recommend this resort. Booking through Expedia was smooth, and staff professionalism made the vacation stress free."
