Beautiful place and great staff. Perfect jumping off point for fishing or snorkeling by boat. We had a great time. The road to get there has a lot of giant potholes, so 4WD recommended
Not many choices in Xcalak but Antonia and Maria made us feel at home. Breakfast is included in the price and very good and affordable dinners each night on the upper deck were so special after a full day of scuba diving. It was perfect for us.
Hotel is clean and really pretty. The staff is very attentive and helpful. They keep the hotel common areas clean. The food is good and the drinks. The beach is keep clean as well they clean the sea weed. The location is fantastic and the most important the beach is awesome.
Hotel El Caballo Blanco is our favorite place to stay at Mahahual Beach. We have been to Mahahual a number of times and now we find ourselves wanting to only stay at this hotel. It is convenient to everything there is to do at this beautiful location. Plus, the hotel itself is very clean with nice roomy beds and showers. Fresh linens and other amenities are supplied. Never been before at Mahahual, it is far away distant driving but worth it, its a pleasant, quite, relaxing and peaceful place. Morning sun raisin is amazing.
At hotel, staff are very concentrate in their tasks, it is administrated by local and italians that gave you a mix of well cultural work to provide a very organized place, you can stay calm and have nice walks along beach.

At first, this review was going to be dismal. The room was nicely modern, but nothing other than the bed and TV in the room, the bed was 11 inches from the slider, the TV didn't work, the toilet didn't work, and the drapes wouldn't close with a glowing sign in my eyes all night. But the next morning I told them all of these things and we were upgraded to an ocean view suite, with a spa tub....nice location, pretty pool, but the beach is still in the midst of sargosa seaweed season, and not so...
I have been traveling to Mahahual for solo fishing adventures every year for at least the last 8 years, and I have always stayed at the Cabanas Del Doctor, and I always will! I don't need anything fancy, but for the very reasonable price of a room or cabana here you won't find anything even close to as good. Also, the woman who runs the hotel/cabanas is wonderful, I look forward to seeing her every year. Hope to be back again soon, thank you for everything once again!
