This is a gorgeous property just outside the town of San Gimignano with many nice amenities. They offer chef prepared dinners each night, which made it so nice after a long day of touring, to just walk over to their dining room & not have to get back in the rental car & search for a parking space in town.
Good experience, you can also taste wines and olive oil.

We loved this place! Getting here was a bit tricky, as the map we were given in the welcome email was of bad quality, so it didn't take us to the correct place right away, but we figured it out, very minor. I'm sure you can ask for a better quality map. When we arrived to check in, we were greeted by Lisa, who was oh so very helpful! She showed us where laundry was, asked all questions we had about WIFI and other hotel things, recommended us 3 terrific places to eat dinner on each of our 3...
I cannot recommend this location enough. I would most definitely consider making another trip to Tuscany just to stay there.

We generally get a house in Florence and then spend three days as a side trip in San Gimignano. I truly enjoyed this hotel because of its PROXIMITY TO THE ENTRANCE RATHER THAN TO THE NETHER REACHES. The lady in the reception area was especially kind and most helpful...always a plus!
Old hotel in an old mountain top town. Given the limitations of this environment the Cisterna is a great little hotel that met all of our needs .The Cisterna is located in Cisterna Square in town close to sights, dining and a valley view walkway. Unexpected treasure. 20 minute walk from San Gimignano. Service is 1st class. Had to move rooms because of a last minute change and hotel staff stored and moved luggage and drove car and loaded luggage from room. Staff gave great recommendations on wineries.
My stay was amazing. The hotel is clean and the staff very nice and friendly. Always happy to help. On my last day they tried to secure a taxi to take me to the airport but there was none available so one of the hotel staff left his post to give me a ride to the airport so I wouldn’t miss my flight. He didn’t have to but he did. I was really grateful.
Will definitely be staying here when next I visit and will definitely recommend this place

We loved this hotel and San Gimignano in Tuscany. This is such a wonderful town and the only way to get around is to walk. The hotel wonderfully sited on a gentle hillside overlooking the Tuscan countryside and only about a 5-7 minute walk from town. We wisely upgraded for another 40 euros to a balcony room overlooking the pool and subsequently spent a fair amount of time with wineglass and book enjoying the views after walking for hours in the historic town.
