"We arrived in the beginning of octobre. The summer season was clearly coming to an end, but weather was nice, sunny and day temperatures 21-23 degrees C. Few tourists, so we had the swimmingpool and the beach almost to ourselves. The hotel itself is surprisingly grandiose, with high ceilings and nice rooms. Area around planted with olivetrees and lemontrees. Staff is friendly, but prefers talking italian. Cudos for opening the breakfast 15 minutes early just for us, since we had to depart early....

"The service at this hotel needs special mention. Nthing was too much trouble and staff went well above and beyond what was expected. Arriving late we were welcomed by the restaurant manager (the only person still working) were shown to our room and offered a late meal (very welcome) asking at reception the next day for recommendations as to where to visit, within 5 minutes a knock on the door and a sheaf of suggestions in english. The restaurant is superb and the food excellent. A thunderstorm...

"what a great place tinged away in the hills near Gate, the road is a bit of an adventure but after driving it several times during our stay it got less scary, and not any more scary than driving in Italy in general.... :-) it is a great place to explore the local surroundings like Gaeta, Formia and Sperlonga (one of Italy's 30 most beautiful cities) and its beaches...
