My wife and stayed at Masseria La Chiusa for a long weekend a few weeks ago (September 2015). While the hotel and its rustic surroundings were lovely, the thing that sets apart this spot is the super helpful staff. Really, it was good. A very nice hotel with an incredibly welcome staff. They solve your problems immediately if you have any (we had a problem (my wife felt ill at ease) and they organized an ambulance at once). Nice pool, clean and cosy. It’s cleaned up every morning and is open 9.30-19.00. You have got a coin douche, toilets, transats. Well, you know it’s not a five stars hotel, but it’s calm and six minutes walk to the beach. This was an excellent stay. Martina was so communicative and helpful at all times. Even when I had to teach her in evenings. Giuseppe was also a great help when my husband left his eye drops medication. Willing to ship next day. The room was spacious and very clean. In a busy street but soundproof windows with shutters. Highly recommend the property. We had a nice and large modern room with a/c and heat. Kettle and tea. 10 minutes to train station Centrale, where you can also take the airport shuttle and buses to everywhere. Breakfast on rooftop with spectacular views. Everything touristic easily walkable, restaurants galore. The only issue for some people would be that you have to walk up to the third floor, no elevator in the old palazzo. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. We were not disappointed...

This was a fabulous place. The location was perfect, the service was excellent. My wife injured her foot and they arranged for a competent English speaking doctor to attend to her. The breakfast was well done with tasty options. As a family of 4 with two older boys they gave us an "apartment" with cathedral ceiling, master bedroom, a single bedroom and a extra bed perfectly placed in the living/dining room. There was a kitchen as well. Phenomenal place and staff.
