Abate Masseria & Resort in Noci is a rare one-of-a-kind family run resort that features superior and personalized service and clean, modern and unique lodging facilities. Check-in time was scheduled to end at 8pm but delays on our train route from Milan and in obtaining our rental car made us very late. The front desk team stayed in touch with us by What's App and accomodated our late arrival in a personalized manner.

This agriturismo is located not far from Bari, Matera and Alberobello. It is definitely out in the country and the nearest town with services is a couple miles away. But it was quiet and nice to relax before ending my trip. The owners were very nice and made sure I had breakfast before my very early departure.
We had an amazing stay at the Cenobio Hotel! It can be a bit tricky to find if it's your first time in Matera, and you can't drive directly to the hotel. Plus, there are some steps to navigate both downhill and uphill. Knowing this from other reviews, we contacted the hotel before our arrival. Matera is a unique town and this hotel captures the special qualities. Each room is different and because it is part of the cave infrastructure of the town, some rooms are dark. I'd ask for a room with widows and terrace if going back.
This is a unique property in the middle of antic city Matera. Beautiful views from the windows to die for, location, etc. Hotel is in excellent condition, furniture, room design, etc. Breakfast is very good. Great options for fine food in the area. You need to be prepare to walk a lot in the city of Matera with steps up and down including to and from hotel. If you can not walk - it is not for you. Parking (free or paid) is on the street within 10-15 min or so walking. Finding can be a problem....

One of the most beautiful hotels I have stayed at. Restored Palazzo next to the hill top Duomo in the Sassi with fantastic views over the old city and the canyons. Rooms were spacious, very tastefully decorated in keeping with the beauty of the building, and also up to date with thoughtful touches such as heated floors.
