The setting of the La Fortezza is absolutely beautiful, it’s such a gem, one of the most special places we have been. The hotels 16 rooms are located in an historic fortress with stunning views. After a long drive in an enchanting forest you get to the magical SORANO and this hotel. We loved it. The rooms are very pretty and clean and have been renovated in a very unique way with very good taste. The buffet breakfast was very nice. And dinner in their roof patio was lovely. Excellent property. The resort is located on what appears to be a farm or in a farm area. We stayed for 4 nights and loved nearly everything. The room was excellent, only complaint was the bed/pillows were a bit hard for our tastes. If you like a firm mattress it will be good. We did not eat at the restaurant for lunch or dinner so we cannot comment on the quality of the food. Breakfast was typical and high quality. The spa was nice as well. What a wonderful experience. We rolled into Bolsena on a whim in a Friday evening in April. The place we’d booked online was closed! So we found Casa di Agatha online and made a reservation. When we pulled up is was dark and also looked closed, but soon Tiziano pulled up to let us in. The rooms are in a very old and beautifully preserved building. A beautiful old building with a comfortable room and friendly staff! We traveled by bike and found the hotel very easily. We were greeted quickly and shown where we could store our bikes. Then we were shown to our room and reminded of the breakfast option (sadly we were leaving very early the next day). Tiziana helped make this stay very enjoyable. She picked us up at her other property outside the ZTL and brought us to Km O dal Centro. Parking there was free and safe. The room was modern and clean. Only thing missing was an English TV channel. We were in the middle of everything with many good restaurants nearby. The Synagogue which is number one place to visit was a 2 minute walk.
