"This fantastic location, just steps from the Castle entrance, was only topped by the wonderful service of the staff. Agatha, Alesia and Nicola were simply amazing. Free breakfast at Scaligeri 1948 is an added bonus as was the special discounted tasting menu at La Rucola 2.0. If you are going to Northern Italy, you need to find the time to spend a couple of days in Sirmione. While the Castle and Grotte are nice, make the time for a private or semi private boat tour on Lake Garda and spend a few hours at the Thermal Spa too. The Thermal Spa is a necessity to sweat off all the calories you will take in from the gelaterias on every corner! You must also try Lugano, the local wine."

Our room was clean, recently refurbished and comfortable; the staff were excellent; and breakfast was really good (lots of choice) - in a room with a great view of the lake.
