Learn more about Forte dei Marmi
Between the Ligurian Sea and the marble-rich Apuan Alps sits a playground for the Italian elite. Colorful umbrellas line exclusive beaches where chic clubs serve aperitivos to sunbathers. The historic fortress stands as a reminder of the town's marble-trading past, while today's visitors browse high-end boutiques along the elegant promenade. At Pontile di Forte dei Marmi, the wooden pier stretches into azure waters, offering perfect sunset views. Villa Bertelli hosts cultural events in a garden setting. The Wednesday market transforms the town center into a treasure hunt of Italian fashion and fresh produce. Come summer, the population triples as Milanese and Florentine families return to their seaside villas, creating a distinctly sophisticated atmosphere.

Hotel St. Mauritius
"Fantastic hotel. Stylish, quietly luxurious. Great location, easy reach of everything Forte dei Marmi has to offer without being in the centre of it. Absolutely bliss."
Grand Hotel Imperiale
"Un Hotel di prima classe"
Hotel Belvedere
"We had a wonderful stay at this hotel in Forte dei Marmi! The staff were incredibly helpful and welcoming throughout our visit, and nothing was ever too much trouble. We especially enjoyed using the hotel’s bikes, which made it so convenient to get around and explore the area. The breakfast was excellent, with plenty of great options, and they were also very accommodating with my food allergies, which I really appreciated. Our room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained, and the hotel’s location was very convenient for exploring Forte dei Marmi. Overall, we had such a lovely experience and would happily stay here again. Highly recommended!"

"Excellent property! Service was fabulous. Rooms and facilities were spotless. Really such a pleasure. Particularly good for kids - balloon animals at breakfast and kids hats and r shirts on their bed as a gift when they arrived. Highly recommend!"
Hotel Acapulco

Augustus Hotel & Resort
"Recently returned from a 5 night stay and had a wonderful experience, the entire setting is magical. The property is like a fairytale storybook with gardens of flowers, botanical beauty abounds with century old Cypress trees set back from the road. There are bikes available, a hotel shuttle, parking for hotel guests, EV charging which worked for us. Our room was great, it had a very large balcony! The Hotel breakfast was one of the best I have had in all of Italy ranks in the top 5. The only downside is the Beach experience, they treat it as a business for their guests rather than an amenity. It was disconcerting since we found it to be nearly 1/4 in use meaning practically empty. This is probably a result of their policy to not rent out chairs for a 1/2 day which does not make sense. We spent our mornings playing tennis nearby. They do not have a court on the hotel grounds. The location was extremly convenient and the shopping was terrific in the centro historico. Double check the concierge's recommended list of Osteria's since we found several not to be very special or good. I think that this Hotel is a place that I found to be very special with warm vibes and I will be returning. We loved it!"
Hotel Principe Forte dei Marmi
"The location and staff were great."
Hotel Goya
"The staff is very attentive and helpful. They remember your preferences after just one day. If you have a balcony in May, it can be a great experience to enjoy your breakfast there. Very walkable as most stores, restaurants, etc are within a 10 minute or less walk."
