It is very early days for this hotel ,it opened in Sept 2014 , but what a place , stunning rooms with breathtaking views, fantastic spa and gym , the evening meal and wine was a delight as was the breakfast .
The bedrooms are all in keeping with the rest of the period building , but with modern heating and barthrooms .
Fantastic staff, starting with the super Cinzia and the amazing Daniele, the resort’s master chef. Our only regret is we couldn’t stay longer and experience Saturday pizza night. Palazzolo itself is lovely and you are just a 45 minute drive through the lovely countryside to such towns as Noto, Modica, Ragusa and Siracusa.

San Giorgio Palace has a spectacular location atop Ragusa. When you exit the hotel on floor 5, it's just a few flights of stairs up to the main square in Ragusa with all its sights, shops and restaurants.

When we arrived we needed to change the room and they were very helpful with 2 options. We got the one facing the ocean. Breakfast was very good. I had to wash my car and one of the helpers at the reception drove with her motorcycle in front of me until we got the place. We used the gym and was very good.
