It was very clean and check in instructions were clear. It would be nice to have towels included but understandable as a hostel. We wish there was an after hours machine to rent towels. Breakfast was good for the area.
This was such a great find, we would highly recommend a stay at Hotel Budir. We wanted a central location while we spent a couple days exploring the Snæfellsnes peninsula and this was perfect. The hotel offers 5/5 dining and customer service. Yes it is pricey but worth it, especially as there are limited grocery and restaurant options on the peninsula. Though there is no check-in desk, someone arrived quickly after a phone call to take us to our room. The guest house was spotless, and the kitchen/dining area had everything we needed to prepare a hearty breakfast and hot drinks. The view of Kirkjufell from our room was an unexpected treat! My husband and I stayed here on our honeymoon for a night while driving the Ring Road. The room was really clean and modern and the staff was very nice. We loved that we got our own little hut.
We had a great stay. It was affordable, the room and community areas were clean. Towels and bed linens provided. Plenty of bathroom and shower availability. The shower downstairs was amazing! Body jets and all! Close to a great little restaurant on the waterfront and cafe nearby for breakfast. All and all we were very pleased.
