"We used one of the function rooms for a 230 family member gathering and the catering was great along with the function room. We also stayed the night which was very comfortable. The only thing I would say is that there weren't enough plug points for charging phones etc, only because they were used for lamps, kettle and fridge. But this is a minor factor and could be resolved by hard wiring some of these items. Overall had a really great stay. Thank you."

"The property is a lovely character building. The staff are all amazing down to the reception, spa and hospitality team nothing is too much trouble. The room was cleaned every day, the breakfast was continental and cooked I asked for porridge one morning which was creamy with fruit on the side. We did have drinks in the bar one evening but didn’t eat there. It was within walking distance to the town but we had our own transport. I would definitely stay there agin and can wholeheartedly recommend."

"My ‘home from home’ … the staff couldn’t be nicer, always have been. As a regular visitor and 4th generation Birr family member, I love how kind and welcoming the townspeople are to me. Doolys are part of my heritage and the best homecoming experience is to be had there. Marguerite"
