"This place is awesome. The staff are super friendly, the food is great, the pool and the deck are all Instagram worthy, and there's a path straight down to the beach that takes 10 min to walk(200ft of elevation I'd guess)
They'll set up surf lessons, a massage, and are very helpful.
The only detractors I can think of are that it's a little remote, and the water in the showers is a bit hard/salty. You won't regret staying here, the only problem is it'll make all the other places you stay pale...

"We really enjoyed stay at Nuestra Casa, it was close to everything and all the staff is great. Teresa is gem.
The pool was clean and refreshing, breakfast was satisfying and the sunset view from the lookout at the top of the building was exceptional.

We were told that the check in was at 2pm; however, the house was not ready until 4pm, then the pics that shows multiple bunkbeds is also incorrect as there were only two mattresses directly on the floor. The lady coordinating the check-in blamed their office for having inaccuracies on their listing. After going back and forth she agreed to bring in a couple more mattresses in order to...

"The staff at Casa Happy Life are extremely helpful. The shared bathrooms are cleaned repeatedly in the morning. The free breakfast was delightful. We had a great experience in San Juan del Sur thanks to the staff at Casa Happy Life."

"The property has a very nice view of the bay, which makes it worth the stay. The pool and patio area is really nice, clean and enjoyable. It's a short walk from the center of the town but the last part is uphill. The only issue we had is that the room (pool view) we had is right next to the kitchen and there were a lot of ants, and the garbage is next to the room door. The cabin rooms seemed much better options."
