However our pool was full of mildew and mold. We were celebrating our anniversary so I booked the couples soirée which included dinner by the beach in a private day bed. "Excellent hotel for couples. The Culinarium is worth every penny. The buffet dinner at The Restaurant was a bit disappointing if you are not into seafood. Would have appreciated more meat options there. I can greatly recommend the Swim-Up rooms especially if you like your own privacy. "

"Excellent location as it’s a five minute walk to the beach with super views; two fabulous pools. Hotel was incredibly clean and staff were always polite and ready to help. Amazing buffet breakfast every morning and wonderful entertainment every evening at the cocktail bar. Definitely value for money. Thank you! "

"Great spot to stay! The staff was excellent and always willing to help. Great advice on things to do. They have parking for you if you rent a car. All local businesses and taxis were very helpful and reasonably priced. Hotel pool was nice, they have live music some nights. Buffets for breakfast and dinner were good, and you can get fresh squeezed orange juice from the bar!"

"We were on the 5th floor with a sea view and it was beyond what we expected! The balcony and view were amazing, the apartment was spacious and modern, all windows had automatic shutters to block out light making it easy to sleep. The balcony had a rack to dry your bathing suits and towels which was great. The swimming pool was perfect for the kids and the beach was right in front of the hotel (the water is stunning, warm and clean!!). The staff was amazing and so kind for check in and check out....

"We really enjoyed our stay! The rooms have been recently refurbished so are fantastic, and the restaurant is well known on the island as a great place to eat. Only 12 rooms means it’s quiet by the pool and you can always get a lounger, and the breakfast is quality and HUGE - we didn’t need it every day. Thank you!"

"We had a great stay at the hotel! The staff were great and the pool, garden,

and restaurant are really nice. Our room was great too! The only thing that we didn’t like is that the hotel is right next to the church and the bells ring very loudly (sometimes at 4am and 6am) and so we were woken by this on the Sunday and the Tuesday. "

"Excellent food, great verity for everyone breakfast and dinner. Friendly helpful staff. Two pool areas with lots of sun beds. Nice walk into Makarska. Beer prices were reasonable especially compared to Dubrovnik. We got upgraded to superior room which was huge and very comfortable bed. Highly recommend and we plan on returning "

"Amazing Makarska beachside hotel with lovely refreshing pool and seconds away from long pebble beach along which there were loads of restaurants and bars. Had good size beautifully positioned seaview balcony with agave-style plants overlooking the pool and the sea. We booked half board option and had great buffet food for breakfast and evening. Had not known how full of eating options this area was, but no regrets as high food standards at hotel ! Makarska was a thriving place with a great old...

"The stay was really great. The service was excellent and the staff very helpful and service minded. It is a small hotell but despite this the breakfast selection was excellent. The pool was a great plus even if the beach is really close with a few minutes walk. The only downside was the small number of sunbeds. But overall a great place to spend our holiday. "
