We stayed here for two nights between Christmas and NY whilst visiting family in the area. It’s such a beautiful guest house. The owners have decorated to immaculate standard. The breakfast was amazing. Our two year old was welcomed and they gave him a little present. I had read the excellent reviews before but our stay exceeded our expectations. We will return!
We were greated by 700+ Pumpkins 3 chipper pups and a welcoming and friendly owner and staff. I can not be more pleased with our stay. My husband and I stayed in the cottage and my in laws were in the main Inn. Both rooms/amenities were very cozy and inviting.
Such a cool quant spot our room was very nice. We had a view out at the little river and bridge. The included breakfast was very good. Smoked salmon and scrambled eggs on toast was very good.
Loved the large room I had and the king bed was so comfortable I slept well.
There is an elevator but also stairs so lugging baggage is challenging.
The breakfast buffet was fabulous!
This was a great and affordable cabin and it was in an awesome, quiet area just south of the caringorms national Park. The owner is a real gentleman and the tavern he runs has amazing steak pies. Would stay again
Easy to find. Private parking down the driveway. Extremely well presented inside from a decoration and artwork perspective. The bedroom I had was very well put together from an esthetics perspective. Also, a nice, and well maintained garden to wander around. There is an honesty bar with a good choice of whiskeys and other drinks, plus another larger lounge to relax in. Not our normal sort of place to stay but ideal for our circumstances. Lovely facilities and folk staying at the same time. Good self catering shared kitchen though only as we left did we tumble to the fact that Helen had provided some communal consumables in the kitchen - our loss.
The room and bathroom (2 adults, 2 kids) were quite spacious and very clean. Water pressure was excellent. comfortable bed. Hands down, the thing we loved most were the two gentlemen staff/bar tenders in the main floor bar. I mentioned to the first one that I just wanted to see highland cows- he called up a friend and sent us down the street to a local farm for an up-close. The second one gave us many great tips and suggestions for our travels. We loved sitting in the spacious bar area each...

I am not sure if they used any insulation between rooms as we could hear the neighbors conversations quite well and the TV from about 4 rooms down.
Converted stables are fantastic: spacious well appointed and great decor.
Food in restaurant is very good: we even stopped back for lunch yesterday. Highly recommended!
