"This hotel is well kept and quiet considering it sits just off Union Street and close to one of the main roads through Aberdeen. Breakfast was lovely and the staff were chatty and very friendly. I would come back and stay here. NCP is right next to the hotel although Sat Nav takes you to the exit of the NCP and it’s on a dual carriage way so a bit tricky to get to. After you’ve been around a couple of times you’ll get there lol"

Mercure Aberdeen Caledonian Hotel

Mercure Aberdeen Caledonian Hotel

"The room was an ideal size for me travelling alone. Perhaps a little small if two using the room. The double bed was a good size. Sockets are not conveniently located in the room so take a longer charger cable so that your phone can be charged on the bedside unit, of which, there was only one. I noticed straight away that the lighting was too dim for my needs. I have to put every one on to get to a reasonable level but it was still on the "romantic meal out" end of the brightness scale. The shower curtain was badly fitted so didn't cover the bath end, only the side as it had all the rings on one side of the ceiling mounted bar. The hotel location was perfect for the gardens across the street, His Majesty's Theatre (200m away) and Union Street main shops. I got a great deal a few days before travelling which included breakfast. Breakfast was fresh, plentiful and covered every food type you'll want from a morning meal before heading out to explore."

"Breakfast was good, staff pleasant and efficient. Only down side was a bit noisy in the evenings as it's in a popular area for night life. It's close to train and bus stations, and the main shopping malls."

"We absolutely loved our stay at this hotel! The room was so cool, with a fun foosball table and a great fun atmosphere. Our room was spotless, and the old-style tub added such a special touch to the bathroom. The bed was absolutely massive, with a super king-size bed, and we loved having a balcony as well. The food in the restaurant was excellent, too. Overall, a wonderful stay and a place we would highly recommend!"

"The room was very clean. The bed comfy, but would have liked an extra pillow each. The man on the desk very kindly got the channels we wanted on the television. All staff we saw were very helpful and friendly. Easy walking distance to many shops"
