Manor House
8/10 Good
"An affordable en-suite room in a good location, sorted me out when I missed the ferry! Good food (especially the breakfast), friendly and helpful staff. Comfy bed, decent shower. Easy parking just opposite. My only criticism is that the section of the building I was in had *really* loud plumbing. If somebody nearby uses the tap, or flushes the loo, you know about it, and I can see this being a problem for light sleepers. I'd come back here again."
Greenland House B&B
10/10 Excellent
"Exceptional property exquisitely decorated end maintained: we felt like we were staying in a grand country house. We were made to felt very welcome and we felt very comfortable. Breakfast was a real treat and the cooked breakfast was absolutely delicious. Thank you I’m sure we’ll be back"
Northern Sands Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"Comfy clean room although a little small. Breakfast and dinner very good. free wifi and parking were very useful. EV charger in the car park came in handy"
Castletown Hotel
8/10 Good
"The staff were very friendly and the room sizes were great. Breakfast was very nice. The only downside was the car park is not very large so I had to park on the street, but was not the biggest issue. Was overall a good experience"
Park Hotel
8/10 Good
"Staff. Very friendly and pleasant to talk to, although there was a feeling that the administration could be improved. We had to pay an unexpected £48 for breakfast when we arrived and then received a bill for dinner two days earlier. This was no question dishonesty; it was poor organisation. Breakfast was a disappointment. They boasted about the quality of their breakfast, but it was dried out from being "kept warm". On the other hand, my wife asked for a smaller main course at dinner, and they charged half price. Parking. It was available, and they had electric charging points. We didn't use them because we didn't bring our EV, but we appreciated that they were there."
The Bridge Guest House
10/10 Excellent
"Hans was a great host. The room was very well made up and the breakfast was superb as always! I've stayed here before and I would recommend it for anyone doing the NC500."
Mackays Hotel Wick
8/10 Good
"Very enjoyable evening at Mackays. Good food and really interesting and pleasant chat with Murray in the bar afterwards."
Pentland
10/10 Excellent
"Good hotel to stay in prior to ferry crossing to Orkney"
Belgrave Arms Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"Free parking, Adequate breakfast. Stayed in Room 2 which has two windows, one overlooking the parking space, so you can keep an eye on your car, the other window has a view of the distant hills. Also free wi-fi. Bathroom was good and well maintained, Room clean and comfortable mattress on bed."
