The staff is notably friendly and helpful and the Inn has a cozy country feel to it. For history buffs, it is close to the site of the Battle of Naseby during the English civil war, which essentially culminated in a Parliamentary victory (Oliver Cromwell) over the Royalist forces of Charles I.
