"Great stay as always amazing room and top breakfast."

"Pleasantly surprised at the facilities in this hotel for the price. Comfortable beds and lovely toiletries as well as a stocjed minibar and tea making tray. Room was quiet and there was good parking outside. Staff were very friendly and efficient. Good atmosphere in the bar area with lots of big screens to watch sport on tv. Would certainly stay again "

"Hotel was clean and staff were excellent from the reception staff ,restaurant staff and the lovely lady on duty in the Soa on Saturday morning . We felt that the room we were allocated was on the small side and an attic room and although the property did ask on numerous occasions if we had any disabilities and did convey that there was no lifts in the property we didn’t appreciate that our room would be an attic room on the 3rd floor . Although we aren’t disabled the climb to the attic was a bit much at times . This room was comfortable enough the fact that there was no window to open and the windows were small and the only view we had was sky .This was not what was shown on the booking site . The room wound be ideal for single occupancy . The shower cubicle was on the small side and a shower curtain instead of a screen . The room was clean but is in need of some repair . Bathroom window felt really loose when I opened it as no fan in bathroom to allow steam to disperse and when trying to close it I thought it was going to break . This did not spoil our stay as the Staff were attentive and very efficient . Food was delicious. Overall a great experience and if we were to revisit I would make sure that we didn’t book a small attic room ."

"The Northern is a lovely hotel, rooms clean, plenty of storage, toiletries, kettle & TV. We had dinner one night of our 2 night stay, food was delicious. We had breakfast one morning, I had full vegetarian breakfast, my friend full Scottish, both delicious & filling!"
