It is sheltered by cliffs close to the mouth of the River Fowey Estuary and bounded, on one side, by the medieval town of Fowey and, on the other, by St Catherine's Castle. "We were there in January so it was very quiet. The staff was excellent, the food was great. Our room was a bit small, but well equipped and clean. the bathroom was sizable with a great shower. There are great walks along the ocean right from the hotel's front door. Highly recommended!"
