The staff was incredibly friendly. The historic building is beautiful. The room was spacious and had a kitchen. Everything was spotless. The bathroom shower was large, great water pressure and temperature. The bed is super comfortable. They don't make up the rooms daily, as it is an apartment hotel. The hotel is right down the street from the train station (Queen Street). It was perfectly located near Buchanan Street, the subway, the Royal Theatre, restaurants and shops. The front desk employees allowed us to store the luggage since we were leaving later in the day. The staff were so friendly and helpful with giving us directions- very patient! The stay was very relaxing in the middle of a hectic travel schedule- highly recommend!
Of all the places we stayed during our 10 days in Scotland the Sherbrooke was the absolute best. (And we stayed in a few rather nice places, including the Scotsman in Edinburgh) Every member of the staff was beyond polite, friendly and accommodating. They could not do enough to help us feel both welcome and comfortable. In addition, the evening was gorgeous and our photos of the grounds and sunset were exquisite.
