It is a bit outside of Chamonix center, which we were not expecting (in the Argentiere area, only a 10-15 min train ride but too far to walk) and can be inconvenient late at night as public transportation closes early. Beautiful mountain setting. Cozy room. Wi-fi free. Delicious breakfast extra. Super friendly and helpful staff. Within 5 minute walk to Flégère lift. Nearby bus stop will take you to the center of town which is about 3 miles.. Too far to walk, so know when busses run. Ski pass will allow free access to transportation. Missed getting to visit L'Aiguille du Midi due to cloud cover. It is supposed to be spectacular. Has a jacuzzi, but didn't use. Looked nice

This is my 3rd time staying at Hotel Heliopic. There is simply no other hotel I would choose in Chamonix. As far as value, Heliopic should be deemed a 6 star hotel. Between the fabulous, helpful, patient, informative, and accommodating staff, and the numerous little complimentary touches and amenities in the hotel, I consider Heliopic one of my favorite hotels to stay at in the world. Amazing, large, and clean spa, Michelin restaurant on site and now a new cheese restaurant, lovely lounge area...

The entrance to hotel.section is through the restaurant below. The waitress check us in. Even though strange we didn't mind since we had food overall experience. The room and bathroom are nicely decorated. Beds were very comfortable. Bathroom had shower and standalone tub. Whole ambiance is luxurious. Chamonix is a not to be missed location, and Aguille de Verte worked well for us. It is a 15 minute walk to town and restaurants but we didn’t mind that. There was a small kitchenette in the unit which is always nice. The bathroom was large enough and very nicely done. Our only complaint was that we needed to leave the window open in order to cool the room but the noise from traffic driving by was disruptive early in the morning. In spite of that, we enjoyed our stay very much.
