The apartment/room was fine. Of concern is that our confirmation email said we had to be there to pick up a key by 7pm. We were there at 630pm but the office was closed. On the notice board it said that the office closed at 1pm on a Saturday. NO WHERE in our email was this mentioned! We had no phone so had to ask a stranger to borrow their phone to get the key code for the safe. This could have been really bad for us if we were not able to get our key. The confirmation email needs to say weekend...
Awesome hotel!!!! Staff great and very welcoming!!! The parking was full but there is a parking garage right across the street and it was about the same cost. Very nice pool amd the room is amazing, very clean amd modern.
The B&B HOTEL Dijon Valmy Toison d'Or is a recent hotel (about a year old). While the accomodations are simple, the level of cleanliness is quite high. The room I stayed in was immaculate and cleaned thoroughly daily. A bit Spartan in terms of decoration, but reasonably comfortable bedding and excellent black out curtains. Breakfast was simple: standard breakfast items were offered. As for the location, the hotel was ideally situated for me on the outskirts of Dijon in a very modern, new area...
I feld verry sorry that we were. Not told that there was a parkingplace behind the hotel. I did not verry good sleep to now that our car was parked with suitcases etc on a parkingplace that was in public and there walked a lot of people around…. Sorry for my english. Loved this apartment, has that home away from home feeling with its upstairs bedroom and very large bathroom.Tucked away from busy area but close enough to walk to all that Dijon had to offer. Great city with its Christmas markets and old world charm.The young lady who checked us in was very pleasant,she brought us a different French breakfast every morning at whatever time we wanted it brought to our room.My new home away from home whenever I go back to Dijon, loved the stay.
The property was wonderful and as a guest I appreciated the key security to get into the hotel, as it is located near the train station with a lot of street traffic. The hotel however is understaffed as we sat in the bar area for a half hour with no one running it, wanted a drink, the front desk person said they'd be right over, another 20 minutes and they were still checking people in our out. So we gave up and left the hotel and had our drinks and spent our money elsewhere. If you can't staff...
Book here if you want a good value in a great location. The hotel is clean and efficient. There is even a hidden peek at 5th century Roman ruins in the garage. We loved our stay there.
Enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Room was spacious and comfortable, nice breakfast buffet, convenient to the old part of town and to the train station. Even tried their spa (part of the package) and it was fun-- we used the pool, special showers, steam room and sauna. Would definitely stay here again.
