When we booked this hotel, we somehow thought it was in Marbella and right on the beach...we were wrong on both counts. It is in Casares (near Marbella) and is about a 5-minute drive up the road from the beach. No matter, it has its own private Beach Club with prompt shuttle service. You stay in a castle on the top of a hill. That alone is all you need to know. A unique place, people live in the castle with property being bought and sold. Interesting place just to walk around. Restaurant was good and reasonably priced for its location. We stayed in a two bedroom unit with kitchen--good if you were looking to stay a while, but we only stayed a day. The AC is great.
