This is a lovely rural property that provided us the retreat that we needed. We had the “Moucho” room which had a nice balcony and skylight over the bed. We had great meals in their restaurant and the pool area looked very inviting but the rainy day prevented us from using it. We appreciate how friendly and welcoming they were with us despite our very limited Spanish skills!

We absolutely loved our stay at Hotel Candor. They are pet-friendly and the staff was always present and helpful (whether at the front desk or in the dining area). The village and hillside view from the room was beautiful and peaceful. There were some neighborhood dogs that barked regularly, especially at night and early morning, that prevented us from keeping the doors open as much as we would have liked. We stayed while walking the Camino. The hotel is very close to Combarro. Manuel was our host. The hotel was beautiful in a way that was thoughtful with every bit of attention to detail. The pool wasn't open yet as we traveled in May, but it looked lovely. We speak no Spanish and Manuel, no English. That didn't matter.
