This property is amazing, Our spacious rooms were above the stables, no elevator. We could hear the horses neighing on occasion and hear them being walked by at different times of the day. We all said we could live here. The grounds are pristine. The breakfast (15eu pp) was fabulous. Unfortunately, the restaurant for lunch and dinners was closed on Mon/Tuesdays. We would stay here over and over. Only 25-20 min to Zurich airport. 15 min to Rheinfalls.
It's a very good base for walking in the area, though the lake is not as pretty as Titisee up the road. Parking was easy, luckily, but they also give you a pass while you're there and you can take the train wherever you want. If you have a dog, the facilities are good and they were very kind. This hotel is conveniently next to the airport with a connecting walkway. But it’s unlike any airport hotel I’ve ever stayed at. An easy walk to the airport for an early morning flight. Coming to the hotel we walked on the outside. The hotel staff told us of the shorter way. Coffee, croissants, and apples were available, at no charge, for all of us early birds to take with us.
