Excellent hotel would highly recommend.

The bedroom and bathroom were lovely, the breakfasts amazing, the staff always happy to help and the location just off the A590 was perfect for exploring the whole Lake District. My only rejoinder was that the stairs to the rooms are a little challenging for someone like me who is mobility impaired. Additional banisters and/or handles would greatly help but I managed overall and we were very happy with our stay. Evening meals were exceptional too. Lovely cozy place with a cozy pub and restaurant on premises

This old manor home has been a hotel for a long time and it has a certain old world feel. But it's well-managed, comfortable, and the setting is fantastic. We had long walks on the beachfront (it's a unique sandy waterway), blustery rain, and a lovely walk into town for a nice dinner. Don't miss sitting in the lounge/library with a good book looking out over the front lawn. I would love to spend a week here with rainy days and big thick books to read.

Cozy room, great views from the window, easy parking lot across the street, very accommodating and friendly staff, delicious made to order breakfast ready in the morning. Would stay again and recommend

This hotel was fantastic and exceeded expectations , wish we could have stayed longer !! Staff was friendly and helpful , breakfast was delicious and rooms were clean and spacious. Shower and bathroom also excellent and roomy
