My husband and I loved staying at Seiri Del Mar! The grounds are stunning and the condo provided everything we needed. The on-site washer and dryer was a plus! Ratka, her husband, and entire staff were so kind. Whenever I had a question I would just ask anyone and they would help us. We will definitely be back. Spent 6 nights in this "hidden gem"! Tucked away in the quiet village of Hopkins, Almond Beach was a perfect place for a family getaway. The room was spacious and clean, right on the beach and quiet. We have been coming to the Maya Hotel and Bistro for several years. It gets even better with time. The Lees are excellent in maintaining their standards of service and training staff. They improve their facilities and it is a truly welcoming place. Like a home you know you can always go to for the comfort and care. And the food....second to none! The hotel is quite remote. If you don't have a car you must rely on the shuttle which has set hours that may not match up with your plans
Check-in was well organized by Stephanie for our group of 6. Rooms were very comfortable, clean, and convenient to all property amenities. Food menu had a nice variety. Service was a bit slow at times, but we were in no hurry. The staff at this property went above and beyond to ensure all our needs were taken care of. The were very accommodative. It's a bit far away form Placencia village, but hotel provides free shuttle. A bit of a pain to wait for the driver to bet back, as they are not always on time.
Rooms are clean and restaurant is great.
One issue - we couldn't use the pictured pier with a gazebo and bar much (if ever) because there was a convention there and they kept other tourists off that pier, while kids from convention occupied the pier of breakfast, lunch, dinner and all activities.
