We have stayed at least 20 times at the Parador of Vic, sometimes when passing through Catalonia on our way north, other times using it as a base for exploring the region and visiting the great Romanesque churches and monasteries. We had a very pleasant stay in the Els Cacadors hotel. The business is family owned for 4 generations and staff is very friendly and attentive. More importantly, the hotel's restaurant is arguably the second best (after 1 Michelin star La Fonda Xesc ) in the area with very tasty and greatly priced (14 euros 3 courses testing menu).
