We loved this hotel. It has a central patio with pines and each room has a table with chairs for eating out side and chair and bench next to the door to relax and take your morning coffee. They have a bar where they serve breakfast in the morning and let's not forget the host. She is so nice. We sat at the bar and talked about anything and everything with her and her sister.
This is a fantastic hotel all around. The rooms are well appointed, the property is well maintained, and you can't beat the location across from the cathedral within the city walls. The price was extremely reasonable for a four star hotel. We will be back!
Centrally located, wonderful breakfast spread for 9 euros per person. The rooms were ample and clean. Best part was the very cold AC in each room.

It’s a very affordable and attractive option if your in Ávila close to the city walls we are here in October and it’s quite cold 43 degrees outside there are restaurants and cafes within walking distance this hostel is perfect for a couple and a family holiday the owners sister was very kind to us and helped sort out the heating system for us
Las Cancelas was a perfect stay for us. Basically next to the Ávila Cathedral and (probably) the only hotel with its own small parking lot.
Maybe a new a/c for the room will be a good idea. We know the weather was particularly hot during our stay, but it definitely needs a new unit.
I stayed there for one night. Getting there in s car was tricky but once arrived it was great. The hotel is literally 25 meters from the main cathedral facade. Everything in old town of Avila is easily reachable within a short walk. Hotel staff were super friendly. Parking for my car in the underground lot was only 10$ per day. Price was very, very good. Great restaurants are just outside the city walls ~ 100 yards away. I'd stay there again for sure.
The location was excellent especially since we had a car. The staff was also very helpful and the restaurant was very convenient. We would definitely stay here again.
de the walled city of Avila. Parking a short distance away outside the wall. Walkable to everything including Convent of Saint Teresa, promenade along the wall and the Camino de Santiago was just behind the building. I highly recommend this place. Door is not manned until checkin at 3 pm.
We had an AMAZING time staying here. The restoration work was beautifully done, the grounds were comfortable and the town was charming. The staff went out of the way to make sure we had everything we needed and were full of local knowledge. Everything was clean and the food was top notch. We preferred being in the countryside village, but still close to Segovia. Highly recommend.
