The stay at The Blue Mansion Qing Suites is definitely the highlight of my Penang trip. The hotel is stunning and modern and you can just cross the street to visit the original Blue Mansion, whose rooms are too classic for my taste. Highly recommended!!!
Very helpful staff on arrival. Best hotel in Penang’s historical district. I did encounter a problem st checkin though. I believe that breakfast was included with the room. They claim it was not ands I looked at my Expedia receipt and it was not. I don’t fault the hotel but Expedia for this. It’s like bait and switch!

There are two G hotels, located near each-other.
You can simply walk to mall (5 minutes) or take a buggy from hotel there as they do a shuttle between the hotels. Go another 5 minutes and you reach the night food market, it opens after 6 PM with a great variety of food. The prices are ok, we tried a lot of "weird" food, some is good some is bad, depending on your taste.

Everyone was very kind and concerned about our experience. The hotel is beautiful and located on the edge of the historic area. The rooms are comfortable. They serve an amazing breakfast and tea. When on the first day, restaurant staff learned I was a vegetarian, they went and made special food for me! Then, afterwards they checked in with me to make sure I had a good selection. Quite amazing. A wonderful choice in Penang.
We wanted to stay in the UNESCO World Heritage Site Old Town and his hotel has great reviews and was uniquely designed to showcase the local culture compared to other more modern hotels. The hotel was a former business/residence that was converted The breakfast buffet was nice, the room was big, clean and the bathroom was modern. It was just a few blocks away from good eateries. There is only 8 rooms in this hotel and was a nice boutique hotel. Well worth the stay.
Initially, when walking into the hotel, you’re greeted by wonderful, friendly doorman that helps with getting you into the hotel and giving a wonderful experience when checking in your greeted by the friendly hotel staff when we are initially checking in it was quite a bit later in the evening, he was a fantastic person, and I had questions earlier so when I had talked to him on the phone, he was super friendly and informative of all updates!

The room was wonderful. Very clean, modern, and spacious. Although the hotel is a little ways from the historical downtown, you can take the free bus (CAT) and get off at stop 11 and from there the hotel is less than a10 min walk. CAT made it very easy to get anywhere in town from the hotel.
The only negative was the wifi was awful. It was constantly dropping and I had to reconnect multiple times each session.
