The hosts are a young couple from Belgium who truly love their chateau and enjoy sharing it with others. He is not only an excellent chef, but does an informative and delightful tour of their vineyards with wine tasting. She maintains the rooms and they are beautiful, cozy, and unique. The hotel is fantastic, the pool and the amenities in general are very neat. They offer us a baby crib and the front desk people were fantastic. The only bad side is if you do not speak French it was very difficult to get service at the one restaurant available because no one but the front decal and the manager speak English. I guess if you travel to a country where French is the first languages expected however for the price I would have expected more English friendly service.

Steps from the train station, Gare de Chalone, our check-in was efficient with English and French speaking clerks. Good explanation of facilities, WiFi, spa and restaurant options. Room was exceptionally clean, bathrobes and slippers were welcome after the redeye flight. Great showers and water pressure, climate controls easy to understand.
