"A very pleasant and convenient base on the eastern side of Oxford, with excellent road access via the A40 and the ring road. Private parking and very welcoming staff."
"Our second stay at the Black Boy - good room with a delicious dinner and breakfast added on .
Within walking distance of hospitals which is a bonus for us. "
"Would be good if breakfast could be served earlier, like 7am as I only use this place for work and start early.
Parking is good and outside in front of the building."
"Excellent from start to finish. Easy, free parking, lovely, clean modern room, great breakfast and fitness room. Easy bud into Oxford. Rohan at the desk was excellent and went above and beyond in ensuring our stay went well. Highly recommended."
"Great location with some very interesting history. Wishing waking distance of the bus stop (10 minute ride to down town), to the historical Iffley Church and to the Thames"

We had a wonderful two night stay at the Black Boy. Both rooms were clean and had everything we needed; comfy beds, coffee/tea and friendly staff. We enjoyed a full English breakfast (not included in the room price) and a lovely dinner. The food was excellent. We were lucky to secure a parking spot right in front of the Inn; be aware that parking is limited. This was a perfect place to stay and explore Oxford; the neighborhood was quiet and away from the busy city. We enjoyed a walk after dinner...
I very much enjoyed my room: it was well-organized with a great shower and an electric kettle (important for me). The building is historic so there is no elevator so if you need special accommodations - call ahead. The area around the inn is lovely: lots of lovely places to eat and a great pub right next door!
Truly excellent hotel with fantastic service. Food was best I have had in a hotel for years. Room was small but very well appointed and spotless. This is probably one of the best hotels to stay in Oxford. Well located, just a short walk to the city center.
The staff was some of the nicest people we met on our vacation in England. They went above and beyond to take care of us.
The food was fabulous, we enjoyed dinner and breakfast. I will defiantly stay here gain,
We were so happy to book a family room (for couple with 2 kids) the day of our arrival into Oxford. The room was spacious and the AC was a welcomed relief with the heatwave. Very clean and spacious. The neighborhood is also delightful. The walk into the city center was beautiful. Definitely recommend!
This is an excellent place to stay while visiting Oxford. The staff was super accommodating and friendly.
Our room above the pub was large and nicely appointed.
Beautiful location in the countryside, in a sweet town that was fun to walk around and enjoy the peacefulness. Breakfast was great, and the staff were all very friendly.
Great hotel and really nice diner. We had a family bunk room and it worked out well for our family of four. Located only 15 min drive from Farmers Dog pub if you are going there.
A truly delightful hotel in a convenient location with excellent staff and facilities. Impossible to fault overall - 2 tips… dont park under the trees in front of the building. I dont know what the birds eat, but they eat A LOT of it. Then theres steps….pack light, you’ll be hauling your luggage up a LOT of steps :-) - its a 13th century manor house, lifts werent a “thing” !
