Volcano Lodge Hotel & Thermal Experience
8/10 Good
"Nice hot spring outside of the room"
The Royal Corin Thermal Water Spa & Resort - Adults Only
10/10 Excellent
"Everything was amazing. My only con, is they close the restaurant at 10pm making food purchases on site impossible. Thankfully uber eats delivers!"
Hotel Lomas del Volcán
10/10 Excellent
"Our stay here was absolutely wonderful. The staff was so friendly and accommodating and they really went out of their way to make our stay special. The food was SO delicious and every morning for breakfast they went out of their way to bring me gluten free options, even some that weren’t on the menu. The property was quiet, well maintained, and in a beautiful location with amazing views of the volcano. On our anniversary they decorated our room special and left us some sweet treats. We truly loved it here and can’t wait to return!"
Hotel Secreto La Fortuna
10/10 Excellent
"I stayed at Hotel Secreto for one night as a part of my trip to Costa Rica and it is a great spot! It was beautiful, had delicious breakfast and the staff were excellent! I arrived around 11 with a shuttle from San Jose and they let me start the check in process early and held my backpack for me while I adventured until I was able to receive my key at normal check in time! When I made it back over it was drizzling and one of the kind reception workers actually walked me to my room with an umbrella. The next morning, I was waiting for my shuttle to Monteverde and another one of the reception workers actually called them to ensure my ride was on the way! I left around sunset for a hot spring reservation and got lucky with a gorgeous view of the volcano. And the next morning, I even saw a three toed sloth in the parking lot before getting into my shuttle!!"
Camino Verde Bed & Breakfast
10/10 Excellent
"Beautiful, big apartment (kitchen, dining area, sitting area, big bathroom, and separate bedroom) with ac/heat and private parking. Excellent location, near Monteverde and Santa Elena National Parks. We walked to the downtown area and enjoyed coffee at a local Cafe Monteverde for coffee, lots of shopping, and the guided tour of the Orchid Garden. The breakfast was delicious and the view overlooking the cloud forest was breathtaking! Diego gave us excellent recommendations for spending our time wisely. Don't miss this gem!"
Casa Luna Hotel & Spa
10/10 Excellent
"The staff were amazing and very knowledgeable about the area and all of the services offered and best tours to book. The tours directly through the hotel were staffed with interesting people who were very knowledgeable about their speciality as well as the country…very impressed with the whole experience!"
Lost Iguana Resort and Spa
10/10 Excellent
"This is our second time staying at this resort! The staff is very friendly and helpful! The grounds and amenities are clean and well kept And the price is affordable! I would recommend this place 10/10"
Baldi Hot Springs Hotel and Spa
10/10 Excellent
"Hot springs are amazing, property is Beautiful. I will definitely come back."
Nayara Gardens
10/10 Excellent
"As a Costa Rican, I almost never vacation at hotels locally. Too often, the domestic hospitality scene feels pretty average—or frankly underwhelming—for what you end up paying, so my expectations were cautiously neutral. Nayara Gardens completely proved me wrong. From the second we pulled up, the service was on another level. The staff is warm, dialed-in, and remarkably professional without feeling stiff or scripted. The rooms are stunning, tucked right into the rainforest with total privacy and insane attention to detail. The food across every restaurant was genuinely phenomenal, the spa was pure bliss, and every tour we booked ran like clockwork with guides who actually knew their stuff. It’s rare to find a place that nails every single aspect of the guest experience, but Nayara pulled it off effortlessly. They set a whole new bar for luxury here, and we’re already planning our next stay."
