I visited with my wife and teenage daughter. We had an amazing time! Ashley was very helpful in arranging a day on the water. We had relaxing evening strolls down to the beachfront for dinner each night. Be prepared for a hike up/down the hillside to get from the beachfront to the hotel. I also recommend you arrange for a transfer to the B&B if arriving by train in Orbetello. The hike is much harder with luggage (lots of stairs)
A truly unique experience! The amount of works that Mario and Paola have put in to give a new life for this 1883 light house and to share with other travelers are simply remarkable. Also, everything has to be brought in from outside through parts non paved rocky road with a jeep in order to cover guests’ needs, the intention is more than running a business but much larger than life. I’m truly grateful to have this experience at Faro da Paola e Mario!!!

The best and most friendly service of the entire trip. Everyone is friendly, speaks English, and is working hard to may the stay a nice one. Requested iron case within a minute of asking, and extra pillows within 2 minutes. Unheard of elsewhere in Italy. Nice beach area and good place for a real swim. Food and wine were fantastic! Had a bottle of 2010 Brunello for dinner which was perfect.
I stayed there for only one day on my way from Rome to Cinque Terre. The place is magical, the service outstanding and the food divine. If you are looking for 5 star accommodations, this is not the place. This place is about rustic charm in a family run business that makes you feel at home. Beautiful surroundings and peaceful atmosphere. I highly recommend it.

We stayed in the off season mid March so the hotel was quiet. Given that we were two of a handful of guests the staff especially Claudia in the bar and restaurant were very attentive and helped us make our stay easy. The staff even helped with renting us bikes having a masseuse brought in for just us in the spa. Again during the busy season this would all be normal and expected. Restaurant: I find the menu of the main restaurant not inspiring and too complicated. Each portion besides the spagettis seems to be made well in advance. The result is not bad, but sorry not "tasty" (like miam) that you want to come again. I chose for example the "Rombo", it was a little roll with one or two gamberis inside and a minuscule portion of rombo... 40 Euros. It tasted of all and nothing...
