The property was very pretty. It offers a tranquil atmosphere and great service. Food was top notch. The breakfast was one of the best I have seen at a resort. Wonderful place, with 2 less than perfect things. First and most importantly, the swimming pool had no steps so my mother, who loves spending time in the pool, was unable to enjoy it. The availability of a pool was one reason I selected Melina, so this was a huge disappointment. Second, the beds were very hard.
The food was delicious - we are vegetarians and the cook did an outstanding job.
First off, brilliant hotel. One of the best on the island. Beautiful bungalows and 5 star spa, amazing vibe. And perfect food. Service was wonderful. Bond who is the manager is likely one of the best hotel managers in the region and was super helpful with everything and we really appreciated it.
Only thing we would note is that its not the best beach and the better beach is on the other side of the island.

Even though I travelled a lot around the world, but this is the first time I am taking some time to write a review about this hotel.
I visited krabi June this year, at that time some how its less crowded at the hotel. Its a huge place with nice big rooms, very clean. You may not get beach/ocean view in any of the hotel rooms, but it is easily accessible. Pool is very nice. Beach is very clean with white sands. There are no hotels around this one, so you don't find this beach crowded at all....
Purana is a wonderful place to stay for a private holiday. Our transportation was very complex. We were arriving after the ferry to the island stopped running. They arranged private transportation for us. A taxi was waiting for us at the airport and took us to the boat. Seamless! When we arrived they acted like they were waiting just for us. The location of the hotel is great. It is a few hundred meters away from the beach with easy access to the beach. The beach is reasonable and we were told that it is better than the Ao Nang beach. We stayed for 3 days in 2 room Villa with a pool. The villa was very spacious and well maintained. The resort was nearly empty as it is off season. The staff were very courteous. Really good service, only thing is, if you are afraid of lizards and frogs, and all of those fields animal, i would not recomend this resort for you. But after that, it was really beautiful, peacefull, food was really delicius and cheap.
What an amazing property! Multiple beautiful pools with very quaint bars, dining. I felt so nurtured. Felt like I was in heaven. I wish I could live at this hotel!
